If the horseshoe outline is already the part you like, the real decision is what goes with it. Gothicrock's seven horseshoe designs fall into three families: a horse head, a skull or a star. Within each family, the bigger difference is placement. The motif can fill the shoe, break out of it or leave the middle open.
Horse Heads: Breaking the Frame or Staying Inside It
Both horse rings show a sculpted head rather than a full horse, and both use a horseshoe as the frame. They differ in how strictly that frame holds the head.
Head and Mane Spill Past the Shoe
On the Horse Head and Horseshoe Sterling Silver Ring, a studded horseshoe curves around the left side and bottom of a horse head shown in profile. The head projects beyond the shoe, and the flowing mane runs onto the right shoulder. The ring reads as a portrait that the horseshoe only partly contains.
The bridle is shown in relief, open space sits beside the muzzle, and the band is broad and smooth with no stones. The face is listed at 7/8 × 6/8 inch (approximately 22.2 × 19.1 mm), and the whole ring weighs about 23 g.
A Contained, Crest-Like Head
The Horse and Horseshoe Sterling Silver Ring takes the opposite approach. Its head faces forward, turned slightly, and sits entirely within an upward-facing horseshoe. A fleur-like ornament rises above, and scrolling openwork fills the shoulders, so the face becomes a self-contained, crest-like composition rather than a portrait breaking out of its frame.
Darkened recesses pick out the mane, shoe and shoulder ornament. The face is listed at approximately 15 × 23 mm, and the ring at about 25 g.
Skulls: an open frame or a rounded blue-eye design
Both skull rings place the skull inside a horseshoe-shaped frame. What changes is how much open space surrounds the skull and which color carries the accent.
An open frame with black star accents
On the Horseshoe Skull Sterling Silver Biker Ring, a raised skull sits in a U-shaped frame marked with dark star-shaped accents. The sockets are black, and open gaps on each side of the skull, along with split shoulders, keep the face from looking solid.
The black stones are cubic zirconia. The face is listed at 18 × 19 mm, close to square, and the ring weighs about 17 g.
Tall Skull With Blue Eyes
The Blue-Eye Rider Skull Sterling Silver Ring uses a taller, rounded horseshoe-shaped frame with a textured rim that looks chain- or scroll-like. Blue eye stones give the skull its focal point, and more blue accents run along the bottom of the frame. The listing does not identify the material of the blue eye stones.
Broad, polished shoulders carry the design onto the band. Its listed face size is approximately 18 × 22 mm, and the ring is about 15 g.

Each star design pairs a single star with a horseshoe, but the star relates to the shoe differently each time.
Star Fills the Signet Face
On the Horseshoe Star Sterling Silver Signet Ring, a large raised five-point star dominates the open front of an upward-facing horseshoe. Polished ridges and dark triangular faces give the star depth, and square studs line the shoe. Smaller horseshoe and ornamental motifs continue onto the shoulders. The listing calls it a nautical star.
The face is listed at 20 × 19 mm and the ring at about 20 g. Of the three star designs, this is the one where the star takes over most of the space inside the shoe.
Star Set Into a Wide Band
The Horseshoe Star Sterling Silver Band Ring places one raised star inside one horseshoe at the center of a wide band. Long horizontal grooves, dark circular recesses and a rippled edge continue around the rest of the band.
The listed 11 mm figure is the band width, not a face height, so it does not line up directly with the face sizes of the other rings. Its listed weight is about 9 g.
Star Bridges the Top of a Pendant
The Black CZ Horseshoe Sterling Silver Pendant turns the arrangement around. Its horseshoe is an open U, close to a teardrop, outlined with bead-set black cubic zirconia and raised silver beads. A polished five-point star bridges the upper ends, so the star caps the shape and leaves the middle open.

A decorated, tapering bail attaches through a small round connector, and the smooth back carries a 925 stamp. The pendant is listed at 15 × 32 mm and about 3 g. The listing does not say whether the bail is included in that measurement or give its inside opening size. Check that opening before choosing a chain; no complimentary leather necklace or cord is included. More options are in the gothic pendants collection.

Once you have chosen a composition, inspect the exact product’s front and side views. The five sculpted rings give face dimensions; the star band gives its band width, and the pendant gives its own dimensions. Those figures describe different parts, so keep their labels with them when comparing.
The weights quoted here are approximate whole-item weights. They do not tell you how a piece will feel on your hand or how high its detail sits.
All six rings come in selectable US sizes, but not every size is in stock for every design, so check the current options on each product page. To convert from another sizing system, use the ring size conversion chart. For other silhouettes, browse the full gothic rings collection.
