This sterling silver coffin locket ring gives two views of the same sculpted skeleton. With the hinged lid closed, a cross-shaped window reveals part of the figure. Lift the lid to see the full skeleton inside the darkened coffin.

The elongated coffin face has a polished silver rim, a hinge at its wider end and a small round knob at the foot. Dark scrollwork runs around the raised sides, while cross-shaped openings decorate the shoulders of the band. These details continue around the ring rather than appearing only on its top.
